First Guaranty Bank was founded in Hammond, Louisiana in 1934 as Guaranty Bank & Trust Company. Originally located in the current Paris Parker Aveda building, the Hammond branch served the four main points of Tangipahoa parish: Hammond, Ponchatoula, Independence, and Amite. The 1970s brought a name change and location change to what is now known as Guaranty Square on East Thomas Street.
Our main goal, as your local Hammond branch, is to constantly improve the banking experience for each one of our customers, big or small. Serving the residents and communities in the Tangipahoa area has been our main objective since being founded and continues to be the focus of the company as a whole.
Poised for growth, Guaranty Square is expanding to include FGB Center which will increase office space and house a community auditorium.
